Fright Krewe Fly-Over

I modeled, animated, textured, lit, and rendered this fly-over shot as a style guide and starting point for our vender studios Yowza and Digitoons to re-create using their own pipelines.

Fright Krewe Fly-Through

Just like the fly-over: I single-handedly created this animated shot as a style guide and starting point for our vender studios Yowza and Digitoons to re-create using their own pipelines.

About

2024_headshot_gold cropped

Hi, thanks for checking out my artwork! I’m Robinson Wood, a visual designer with 10 years of experience working for brands like Google, Meta, DreamWorks, Sony, Nickelodeon, and more. I’m a proven creative problem-solver and clear visual storyteller.

Serving a narrative is my professional calling. My strategy is to adapt to the needs of my team, and tackle whatever the project needs, from providing the tiniest detail to casting the overall creative vision.

I’m people-oriented: I love the collaboration process, and I believe in getting results through a coordinated team effort. I’m excited to share my experience and expertise with my next team — and even more excited to learn from them!

Testimonials

Google Doodles

“Robinson took on every project with relish, from problem-solving the complexities of International Day designs seen around the world, to researching and illustrating hosts of unique Doodles, to taking on the challenge of creating the incredibly delightful 2015 Holiday Doodle series. Diligent and highly organized, Robinson displayed an eye for detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind. He thrives on challenge, continuously raising his own bar while inspiring those around him. He was a delight to work with, and left a lasting impression on everyone on the team. I can’t thank him enough for the value he brought, and I whole-heartedly recommend Robinson to anyone!”

Fright Krewe

I’ve been so lucky to have worked with Robinson—we worked together on a couple of TV shows at DreamWorks Animation, and when I became an Art Director there, I tried to hire him on every project, and even promoted him to Design Supervisor on my last show, Fright Krewe. He has a fantastic attitude, he’s enthusiastic, attentive, learns very quickly, and his design sense is sophisticated and so flexible. He can work in any style, and can design in both 3D and 2D, but either way his craft is top notch. He’s adept at illustration for storytelling, character design, visual development, graphics/logo/font design—pretty much whatever you want to throw at him!
